To start this weekend, I am choosing to re-post a column, based on a 2020 column for The Forward.
55 years ago this Sunday, four students, including hometown Plainview boy Jeffrey Miller, were gunned down at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio.
Today, rampages and killings on college campuses continue, not by the military or the National Guard but by other students, interlopers, rogue terrorists, and unbalanced Americans, fueled not by a war necessarily, but a mindset of hate and violence that is sweeping the country, with no end in sight.
This Sunday, we remember.
